After a 4-year hiatus, this is our first cruise since the pandemic. We decided to give Princess Cruise a chance and they didn’t disappoint. Check-in was seamless and hospitality was on par.
Our ports were Naples-Italy, Crete-Greece, Kusadasi-Turkey, Istanbul-Turkey, and Mykonos-Greece. All were beautiful ports. We also spent Mother’s Day on this voyage. We visited Kusadasi and Mykonos before and figured it was worth visiting again. For those making their first trip to Kusadasi—the Ephesus excursion is a must. Shopping is also within walking distance of the Port. Haggling is welcomed here and it is so exhilarating to get a deal (or so it seems). In Crete, we visited a pottery farm and watched the pottery being made. We also visited the Crete Museum and saw various artifacts.
We took a breakfast cruise with entertainment provided. The breakfast consisted of various delicacies of Istanbul and we also visited the Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar. An hour at the Bazaar is not sufficient to see it all. This requires a return trip to Istanbul. Mykonos, windy as usual, was exhilarating traipsing the cobbled streets and alleyways.
